The Langhe have never been this close.
There is always one question asked by anyone dreaming of a journey among hills, vineyards and great wines — even before choosing where to stay or what to taste: how do you reach the Langhe?
For years the answer involved detours and secondary roads.
Today, instead, we can say it calmly: reaching the Langhe is easier, smoother.
From December 30th, 2025, with the full opening of the A33 Asti–Cuneo Langhe Highway, our territory takes an important step forward. Not only in terms of mobility, but of vision: a road connecting two strategic provincial capitals of Piedmont also becomes a bridge toward more accessible, conscious and widespread tourism.
It’s not just a technical name.
The fact that it has been called the Langhe Highway already says a lot: for once, it isn’t the land adapting to the road, but the road acknowledging the land.
An infrastructure that doesn’t simply cross hills and vineyards, but places them at the center, openly telling those who arrive where they are entering — a cultural landscape, even before a geographical one.
Speziale Wine Resort is located in Verduno, at the Alba Ovest exit, right in the heart of this new connection.
🌍 Roads that connect, territories that breathe
Good infrastructure is not only about moving faster.
It improves quality of life, reduces traffic through villages and makes territories more balanced and accessible.
The completion of the A33 Asti–Cuneo Langhe Highway moves exactly in this direction:
less pressure on secondary roads, more safety for those who live in the villages every day, more serenity for those who arrive to visit.
From a tourism perspective, it means the Langhe are closer, better connected to the rest of Italy and to the main European corridors.
🛣️ A few numbers, but essential
With the opening of the last section Alba Ovest – Cherasco, from December 30th 2025 the A33 Langhe Highway is fully driveable.
A route of about 90 kilometers connecting the Asti area with the Cuneo area, creating real continuity between productive, agricultural and touristic territories.
🍇 Arriving better to live better
For us at Speziale, this has a very concrete meaning.
A smoother road means arriving here with fewer thoughts and more time for what matters: a shared glass of wine, a walk through the vines, a sunset over the hills.
The new A33 does not bring haste — it brings possibilities.
The possibility to choose the Langhe even for just a few days, even out of season, even without planning every detail.
🌿 And once you arrive… we take care of everything
The introduction of the Free Flow system on the Langhe Highway is another step toward a new type of mobility.
It’s normal, however, to have a few practical doubts the first times.
The good news is that once you arrive at Speziale Wine Resort you can relax 🌿
If you need help navigating passages, apps or payments, we will assist you — simply and quickly.
Because the journey may also be technological,
but arriving in the Langhe should remain what it has always been: welcoming and without too many worries.
