The historic Fratelli Alessandria Winery
The historic Fratelli Alessandria Winery is located just outside the heart of Verduno, only 200 meters from the Speziale Wine Resort. With its 19th-century Piedmontese architecture, the winery is a significant landmark in the Barolo region.
Years of winemaking experience and an enduring love for the Langhe provide a solid foundation for producing wines that fully respect the traditions and cultural values of the territory. These wines are a true expression of the varietals from which they come and the unique characteristics of their places of origin.
Our Wines
Among our most renowned vineyards are Monvigliero, considered Verduno’s “grand cru,” and Gramolere, a cru in the municipality of Monforte d’Alba. These exceptional terroirs allow us to produce Barolo wines of remarkable elegance and complexity, highly appreciated by wine enthusiasts.
Another standout is our Verduno Pelaverga “Speziale” DOC, crafted from the rare, native Pelaverga Piccolo grape, grown in Verduno as well as parts of La Morra and Roddi. This wine is distinguished by its characteristic spicy notes, particularly of pepper, giving it a unique allure.
Guests of the Speziale Wine Resort can book a visit to our winery Fratelli Alessandria, exploring the brick vaults and large oak barrels for a close-up look at our production process in Verduno.
